Marching

This week we are going to shift gears a little bit and simplify. I hear A LOT of people say they would like to get fit, but have no idea where to start. I am here to help you out this week. I have heard this same statement often in my practice and I love to help people START.
So many people believe they have to go all out when they start a workout program/try to get into shape. I have to say this is not the way to start exercising. If you do attempt this approach you may feel defeated because you are too sore ( or in pain) to move for a couple of days and then give up.
Your body has to be eased into a new routine. This mean you need to start slow and progress as your endurance, fitness, strength, flexibility, motivation, and energy builds up. Below is a link to demonstrate marching in place. For someone who has not been active in a while start with marching in place for 5- 10 minutes. Do this for a couple of weeks and add 1 min each day.
