This week we are going to talk about our core strength again! Why do I focus so much on core? Because it is one of the biggest muscle groups that get neglected. With a weak core pain your back can be over worked and cause low back pain. Statistics say 7.5% of people globally, or 577 million people, suffer with low back pain. It is the number 1 reason to go see your primary care MD.
A couple of weeks ago the newsletter was about how to preform a posterior pelvic tilt (PPT). This is the main focus with core/abdominal workouts. Once you are able to activate your PPT correctly, you should do this prior to any type of core workout. This will make sure your core is activated and doing the work it should be and NOT your back.
Below is a short video of the PPT with some simple exercises to help strengthen you core. Do these simple exercises 1x/day for 1 month and see how much stronger your core is! Click on the video below.
